JULIEN GAUTIER

I am Julien Gautier, a passionate guide with a solid background in wine and nature. I studied oenology and viticulture in France, the cradle of some of the world’s most renowned wine regions, and I hold a diploma as a Canary Islands Wine Expert, which allows me to provide a unique and in-depth perspective on the rich wine culture of the Canary Islands.

After dedicating my early professional years to the world of wine, I shifted my focus to hospitality. I opened a restaurant in Barcelona, La Perla de Oro Barcelona, where I earned TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence for four consecutive years. For me, the perfect recipe for success lies in product quality and human connection.

Today, although I work in a different field, I remain dedicated to an activity where service quality, organization, and the overall experience are essential. The human factor continues to be the indispensable ingredient.

I am also an official guide at Teide National Park and a certified hiking guide throughout the Canary archipelago. I combine my technical expertise with a deep love of nature to offer unforgettable experiences. In my free time, I explore new trails and take part in volcanology and botany conferences and training sessions, with the goal of enriching my knowledge and becoming a better bridge between the scientific community and the general public. In addition, the safety of my groups is a top priority, which is why I complete first aid courses every year to always be prepared.

My purpose in my different professional paths has always been to bring people joy, in a relaxed environment that fosters well-being. I want to share my passions with you: nature and gastronomy. Together, we will discover the unique landscapes of the Canary Islands, its traditional cuisine, and—most importantly—the opportunity to connect with local people.

Whether exploring the volcanic trails of Teide or tasting the region’s exceptional wines, I will guide every experience with professionalism, warmth, and passion.
